Exciting Opportunity at Dundee Rugby Club!

Are you passionate about rugby and developing young talent? Do you have what it takes to drive our youth and mini sections to new heights? Dundee Rugby Club is seeking a dedicated and motivated Development Officer to join our team and take our club development to the next level!

As an ambitious club aspiring to play at the highest level of amateur rugby in Scotland, we recognise the importance of investing in our future. That's why we're looking for someone who can help us grow our youth and mini sections through expert guidance and outstanding coaching. Here's what the role entails:

  • Attend regular sessions and provide examples of best practice to develop players and coaches at Dundee Rugby Mini and Youth sections.
  • Collaborate with coaches to create comprehensive, tailored yearlong rugby programs for each squad.
  • Organise and run specialist skills clinics for our young players, nurturing their talents and enhancing their rugby skills.
  • Initiate and manage programs to deliver curriculum and after-school rugby in local state schools.
  • Facilitate a seamless transition from local schools to Dundee Rugby, ensuring a smooth pathway for young players.

We're looking for a Development Officer who possesses the following qualities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a solid work ethic.
  • Self-motivated and highly organised, capable of independently managing tasks.
  • Ability to plan and deliver exceptional rugby programs.
  • Able to work independently and as a team player who can effectively collaborate with the club development team.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage with players of all ages and provide them with the best rugby experience.
  • Preferably holds the Aspiring Coaching course certification.
  • Proficient knowledge across all social media platforms.

This is a full-time role offering a salary of 20k, with flexible working hours that can be tailored to suit the requirements of the role.
